Fund Eligibility Methodology
Fund Eligibility List
When a new Fund Eligibility List is received and processed, the following steps are taken:
- Funds that are included in the list are flagged as eligible in the investment database, as well as funds with the same Morningstar Parent SECID. This means that the various share-classes of a given fund will also be marked as eligible (given the fund has the same Morningstar Parent SECID).
- Investments in the following databases / asset categories are all set to eligible:
- VA Sub-Account Database
- IGSA - Group Annuities Database
- Money Market – Taxable Asset Category
- Private Database Funds
- All other funds in the investment database are flagged as ineligible.
Recently Ineligible Fund List
UBS provides a Recently Ineligible Fund List to indicate to users both online and in reports when a fund has recently become ineligible. When a new Recently Ineligible Fund List is received and processed, the following steps are taken:
- Funds that are included in the list are flagged as recently ineligible in the investment database, as well as funds with the same Morningstar Parent SECID. This means that the various share-classes of a given fund will also be marked as recently ineligible (given the fund has the same Morningstar Parent SECID).
